The school value this term is appreciation.
Kate Timms will be teaching in Mulberry class this year, supported by Charlie, Nam, Bing, Catherine and Matt.
We have had a fantastic start to the year in Mulberry class! The children have settled into school really well and are making super progress with their social interaction and learning.
Our topic for the second half of this term is 'The Great Fire of London' and to launch this we will be joining Year 2 for their workshop. Later in the term, we will be comparing fire engines in the past and present, then learning about some other vehicles. As always, we will adapt and develop this plan according to the children's interests and fascinations as the term progresses.
Alongside our topic work, the children will continue to work on their individual goals, focusing on reading, writing, Maths, social interaction and speech and language. Our focus stories will be 'Owl Babies' and 'Stick Man' and the whole school value this term is appreciation.
The children will go to horse riding (Mondays), swimming (Thursdays) and Thomley (Fridays) once each fortnight this term.
We look forward to sharing the children’s work and celebrating their achievements throughout the term! If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to email me anytime or contact me via your child's home-school book or the school phone number.
